The Hollow Vault
★★★★★ 4.5
The Hollow Vault is a slow-burn adventure that trusts atmosphere to carry it. You explore a sealed underground complex tapping to examine, combine, and unlock, piecing together why the place was abandoned. The sound design does a lot of quiet heavy lifting.
Puzzles are grounded — keys, codes, levers — never the kind of moon-logic that has you googling a walkthrough. Hints exist but stay optional and unobtrusive. I finished it over three evenings and never felt stuck for longer than felt fair.
It's short and it's linear, so replay value is thin. But as a single, well-told journey it's easily worth the time, and the ending actually landed for me.
