Neon Driftline
★★★★☆ 4.1
Neon Driftline knows it's an arcade racer and never pretends otherwise. You chain drifts to build boost, and the whole game is about keeping that flow going without kissing a wall. Tracks loop through a glowing city that looks great even on an older phone.
Handling took me a couple of races to click with — it's floaty at first — but once it does, the drift chaining feels fantastic. Tilt steering works surprisingly well, and there's a tap-only option if you hate motion controls.
There aren't many tracks, and you'll see the roster fully in an afternoon. But it's the kind of game you reopen for a quick high-score run, and the sense of speed holds up better than most mobile racers I've tried.
What we liked
- Drift chaining that feels genuinely good
- Solid tilt and tap control options
- Looks sharp on older hardware
